Anshul is born and raised in Ujjain, and since childhood, Baba Mahakal has always been an inseparable part of my life.

Like many young professionals, my journey eventually took me away from my hometown. I moved to Pune for my Master’s degree and later built a successful corporate career, including seven years with The Times of India in Gujarat, where I had the opportunity to work with several leading brands.

Professionally, life was moving forward. But somewhere within me, there was always one thought:

Someday, I wanted to come back and do something meaningful for Ujjain.

The Turning Point

Over the years, I kept hearing and reading about devotees travelling to Ujjain from different parts of India and the world — often for a journey they had dreamed about for years.

But I also came across stories of visitors being misled or overcharged in the name of Aarti bookings, Darshan tickets, hotels and other travel arrangements.

That was difficult for me to accept.

People were coming to the city of Baba Mahakal with faith in their hearts. Their time here should be spent seeking blessings — not worrying about whom to trust or how to manage every arrangement.

That thought eventually changed the direction of my life.

I decided to leave my corporate career and an annual package of approximately ₹13 lakh, return to my hometown, and start again with a purpose much closer to my heart.

And Ujjain Tourism Was Born.

The idea was simple:

Take care of the journey, so devotees can focus on the blessings.

What began as a small initiative was built around one responsibility — helping visitors experience Ujjain and Madhya Pradesh with greater comfort, transparency and personal care.

From hotels and private transportation to local assistance and pilgrimage planning, our goal has always been to make the journey as smooth as possible, especially for devotees visiting Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain and Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga.

Today, that small initiative has grown into a community of 1.5 lakh+ guests and travellers, reaching people from 27 countries.

But for me, the numbers are not the biggest achievement.

The biggest achievement is when a family returns home and tells us:

“We didn’t have to worry about anything. We could simply experience Ujjain and take Baba Mahakal’s blessings.”

I think they are best if you are travelling with fmaily hotel, cab, before darshan we have got the darshan ticket that help darshan done very smoothly.

I had a wonderful experience with Ujjain Tourism and I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Ujjain.

A special thanks to Anshul Bhai, who was extremely cooperative, supportive, and helpful throughout my trip. He also helped me book the Sheeghra/Protocol Darshan ticket online, which made our Mahakaleshwar Darshan experience much smoother and easier.

My driver, Ravi Bhai, was also excellent. He came for an early morning pickup and spent two full days with us. He is very friendly, talkative, helpful, and has a very nice nature. He guided me properly everywhere, explained where I needed to go, and was always ready to help whenever I needed anything.

Overall, my experience was very smooth, comfortable, and memorable. Everything was managed very well and we truly appreciated the personal care and support from the them.

Right from the first conversation, we received a quotation within 15 minutes, completely tailor-made to our preferences. Anshul gave us the right advice without ever making it feel like a sales pitch. He never pushed us to buy unnecessary things and only recommended what was genuinely required.

Everything was taken care of perfectly, stay, airport pickup and drop, and all the inter-city transfers. The entire trip was extremely well organised.

A special mention to our driver, Yogesh, who was amazing! Very professional, punctual, and someone who knows Ujjain inside out. His advice helped us make the right decisions throughout the trip. He was always available, one call at any time and he would be there to pick us up.

They also managed to arrange Bhasma Aarti tickets and helped us complete all the darshans possible, which made the trip even more special.
