Each Monday, the Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple carries out a grand royal procession where the idol of Lord Shiva is taken on a palanquin around the city.
The Sawari begins from the Mahakal temple and proceeds through different lanes of Ujjain, stopping at various significant spots like Gudri Chauraha, Bada Ganpati, Karttik Chowk, and Ramghat, before returning to the temple. Devotees wait in long lines and shower flowers, chant mantras, and seek blessings from Lord Mahakal during the yatra.
